Bacon and Eggs Immune Boosting Soup

So I am new to the blogging world nd I do not take the best pictures. I can;t say the word “yet” because I am just not sure if I will ever get there. I cook fast. I throw things together in a hurry and then I need to move on the next chaos in my life. So this is really simple. I am not going into a huge recipe here but more of an idea.

I woke up and school was canceled. Even ABA therapy was canceled today and that NEVER happens. It is cold. Like deadly cold for us who live in Texas. I have had the worst cough since quitting smoking 2 weeks ago and was up all night. Any reliefe to my chest will do so what better way than a warm soup first thing in the morning??

Here is what I had in my fridge:

Onions-Cut about half of a small one

Swiss chard-(you can use any greens you have!) Just grapped about a cup.

Bacon-I think I grabbed 5 pieces

Cooked these up together until the bacon was done and drained grease.

Then I added about 3 cups of chicken broth, some garlic, tumeric, ginger, coconut aminos, some oregeno, and a dash of apple cider vinegar. Added the bacon mixture back in. Let it get to simmer and added some eggs seprately and covered. Cooked until the egg whites were done and yolk was starting to cook. We are yolk people!

I served with some Argrula, toasted gluten free bread, and a dash of hot sauce. It was warm. It was simple. It made my cough go away for a bit. It is exactly what I needed this morning!
